Here’s a movie about Doug and Tracy who are ab0ut to get married and 2 days before that, Doug, his buddies Phil, and Stu, and Tracy’s brother Alan - hop into Tracy’s father’s beloved Mercedes convertible for a 24-hour stag party to Las Vegas.

I never watched the movie but since I like vintage Mercedes model this one is something I would like to have.

This is a 1/43 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE by Greenlight Hollywood. I’ve collected several Mercedes release mostly by European companies but this is my first American release Mercedes and my first with a soft top.

What I like about this is the body is made of diecast although plastic chassis and the wheels do roll. Good detail with plenty of individual parts although the door handles are molded with the body. The Mercedes emblem at the back is not raised or an actual part but painted only. Only QC issue is the wheels are slightly wobbly when rolling.

This model features rubber tires and chrome Mercedes wheels (hub caps). This is also a close model so don’t expect any moving parts like the old Corgi and Dinky toys. Like most of Greenlight’s 1/43, this one comes in a showcase.

Look closely and there is a tiger figurine at the back seat. If you watched the movie you probably know how the tiger got inside the Mercedes.
