On my 163rd post are 2 of the hottest looking vans that can compete with the Hot Wheels Honda Odyssey.
These represent the fifth-generation HiAce which appeared in late 2004 as a wide long-wheelbase wagon, wide super-long-wheelbase high-roof “Grand Cabin”, long-wheelbase van, long-wheelbase high-roof van and a wide super-long-wheelbase high-roof van. In this generation the gear lever has been moved to the dashboard to enable easier movement in the cabin. Five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions are available.
So how good are these die cast? First these may not have the refinement of TLV as it only comes in painted headlights and taillights and the base is plastic but the detail looks pretty good.
The tires are plastic but still look realistic. The white letterings are a plus.
Great tampos on the rear.
And the tailgate can be opened.
What attracted me to these are the super cool Advan and Falken liveries. D
As for info about who made them, the only thing indicated underneath the models is the word ‘Toyota’ representing the brand of the actual 1:1. The chassis do have some detail. The box does not show any manufacturer nor brand name of the toy company but shows the picture of the model, the Toyota logo, the tire brands, the name of the model and is manufactured under license. It also comes with some Japanese lettering and the word ‘Premium Collection’ to probably attract the adult collectors and of course made in China.
If you collect HiAce models then this is a must have even just for the livery.
