If you’ve been checking my post, you’ve no doubt must have seen this teaser and a few post on Tomica model with an obvious background. So on my 181st post I shall finally be showing you my Tomicarama 04c Accelerator 426 by Tomytec.
Tomica has previously release a few of their dioramas from police station to gasoline station and if you want one today, be prepare to shell out some hard dough as their prices have skyrocketed. Thankfully Tomica announced their release of a brand new Tomicarama which although still pricey is nowhere near the prices that is being charge by 3rd party resellers. And if you have not noticed Tomicarama is a portmanteau of their brand name Tomica and diorama.
Released in September 2018, this latest diorama is probably similar in look from some of their previous releases like Bayside Motors. I wanted to first show what it’s like as an empty lot before I start putting in my die cast models. And what I like about this diorama is not only can I display my cars in a more realistic setting, it also inspires me to expand it further with roads.
Since the diorama comes unassembled, here’s what I did to get it together.
Tomica provides furnitures for you to place inside the building. I supplemented it with people.
