As we’re nearing Christmas I am finding more treasures from the past and on my 185th post is the ‘48 Ford Woody under the Wagon Wheels series from Hot Wheels.
This is number 2 of 4 set. Like most premium this comes with rubber tires and chrome wheels.
Most toy company would have used plastic on the woody part but Hot Wheels did not follow the trend but gave us all metal body and chassis.
This also comes with a separate tire instead of molded on the body. It also includes a hitch.
Nicely done and good proportion between the body and wheels.
And like most previously issued premium model, this comes with opening hood and detailed engine.
Comes in this nicely done but bulky display container. It’d be nice to see Hot Wheels revived this series as it would make a nice Christmas gift.
