Hot Sixty 4th: Land of the Rising Skyline

Have you ever been in a situation where you were watching a movie and it kind of inspired you to show and write about your collection? On my 197th post is one such inspiration.

So what movie started all this? I recently watch not just one but 2 movies featuring ‘Shin Godzilla’ and ‘Emperor’. The name ‘Godzilla’ as you know will usually be related to Japan. And for ‘Emperor’ which is co-produced by both US and Japan is the story of the day Japan surrendered and was occupied by the US military in 1945. This movie reminded me of how a country once devastated by war was able to recovery and produced such wonderful cars so I decided to pick one of my JDM classic cars like this ‘71 Nissan Skyline.

This ‘71 Nissan Skyline GT-R by M2 is one of the 3 Auto Japan car set made exclusively for Mijo and was released last year. This is also the 3rd post of the package that I received from Dek34.

The Mijo exclusive comes in acrylic display case and instead of a sealed clam shell, it was more of a protecto pack which allows you to open and reseal the package.

Features opening hood, rubber tires and metal chassis that can just be unscrewed with a philips screw driver. I must say the engine shown needs a little more work.

I managed to collect most of the Skyline 2000 that were release by M2 and I must say this Advan livery does not disappoint. There were no major QC issue at all.

Here is a 1:1 car.
