Hello everyone and welcome to my 199th post as I will be showing some of the Hot Wheels 50th Favorites that I like and acquired. The 4th one is the ‘71 Datsun Bluebird Wagon.
Number 5 of 10, this is now one of the first wave of the first 5 Favorites that were released. No doubt this one is my number one favorite among the favorites. I know at few of the LaLDers managed to snag one or more but I did not even find one locally but thanks to a trade with Roundbadge I managed to finally get one.
Beautifully done in metallic blue(bird, get it) with white and orange strip, this little beauty has rubber tires, chrome wheels and metal chassis but no opening feature. I managed to collect a variety of livery on this and somehow still not get tired of it. Even before it became a hit I was already looking for this when it was first released and managed to find the HW Boulevard series in either Marshalls or TJ Max.
Station wagon may be a thing of the past in the US but at present this wagon is a fav among collectors.
