Hot Sixty 4th: I got the Bellett Blues

Welcome to Hot Sixty 4th in which I show off my DLM 1/64 and smaller and sometimes larger collections. It’s been a showcase of blue cars these past few days and on my 224th post is another nice looking blue collection from Tomica with LV-150 (d) Isuzu Bellett 1600 GTR release in May 2018.

So did I just mentioned the Bellett as a GT-R? Yes besides Nissan, Isuzu also joined the GT Type-R (for “racing”) group which was presented in September 1969.

The GT-R featured a 1.6 L DOHC engine from the 117 Coupé, power brakes and numerous other modifications. Available only with two-door notchback coupé bodywork, it was visually different from other Belletts primarily by a specific paint scheme, which included a completely black hood.

The Nissan driver was definitely admiring this GT-R as well.

A wonderful looking vintage car and as always, from the body to the wheels, the realism you get from TLV is clearly visible.
