Trigger warning: extreme want of all the things
As many of you know by now, I spent some time at Daytona on Friday to take in IMSA 24 Hours weekend action and walk the garage area. It was an exciting day for sure, but it got even better as I wandered the infield looking for good photography vantage points. There were racing equipment vendors, automotive memorabilia vendors, and......a model car vendor.
I’m sure we’ve all been there - one of those moments where the world around you vanishes and you see nothing but scale examples of your favorite cars (and cars you’ve never seen before). Your heart rate increases, and there’s temptation everywhere you look. The liveries. The detail. The resin....yes, the resin. I know there are strong feelings here about that, but eye candy is eye candy. All Spark 1:43 were 40% off the marked price.
