Hello everyone. Time for another installment from the great adventures of the Traveling Torchbug.
Quick update. Despite a gap in activity, the TTB has been VERY active since the last posts, literally traveling the globe a couple times. Posts from all caretakers are in the works and I appreciate your patience.
For those new to this great adventure, in a nut shell, The Traveling Torchbug is a 1:64 VW Beetle modeled after the LEGEND that is Jason Torchinsky´s famous bug that I have been passing along various Live and Let Diecast, OPPOsitelock and even one rad Jalopnik staff member throughout the years.

Now, let´s get the latest leg of the trip underway! Once again, it has come home to me in Houston, Texas just in time to head off to a recent trip to Dublin Ireland. It was my first trip to Europe and a warning: HEAVY PICTURE CONTENT!
We´ll start of at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in the title picture above headed towards O´hare International to an Air Lingus flight into Dublin
First stop was obviously to the Guinness Plant!
This is the 9,000 year lease! Below, all the rad features of the plant including a rad beef stew lunch and a pint of fresh Guinness at the bar atop the facility.

Time for a rad dinner at a place called The Bank Bar and Restaurant.
The following morning, I was up early to take a stroll around the general area of the hotel. I stayed right across the way from the Temple Bar area.
On the agenda that day was to take a bus tour of Dublin on the way to Malahide Castle. 800 years of history and Epic radness! First official time I stepped on European soil. I know that sounds cheesy but growing up mega poor, this was EPIC! Glad the TTB was there to share the moment.
Following the the castle tour, we took a stroll to probably my new favorite town called Howth. Here are some pics of Howth harbor and a rad shot of Ireland´s eye and a sea lion lol.

OH MAN!! Another highlight of the trip was a tour of the Teeling Distillery. Making Irish Whisky IN DUBLIN! There, I tried my first Irish Whisky. I also met some fellow country-peeps from Mexico that were fans of the TTB.Sorry I couldn´t remember your names but the TTB does connect us 4ever :]
Next, some random nightlife including my first experience at a Michelin Star Restaurant.. I am a mega introvert but, when in Ireland surrounded by rad peeps and whisky in the jar-o.....
Here is a shot of the TTB on the hand of some statue thing at Temple Bar. EL_ULY on the right taking a delicious sip and a friend and overall suuuuuper rad chap named Rex keeping the party going haha!
Next on the adventure is a tour of the Jameson Distillery or ex distillery technically. Like the Guinness tour, the tour gives you the ins and outs of creating legendary Irish whiskey. The entire place is ultra rad!

Bellow is a picture of another friend and mega raaaaad fellow named Rex! Here, he´s pouring some distillery exclusive product like a boss! True legend!
Below is some epic lunch from a place called Boxty. Yummy fries? Those are actually potato pancakes cut into strips. IDK lol they were rad, that´s all that matters lol.
Before heading home, gotta go hit us some stores, get some souvenirs and stuuufff. Lots of awesome people on this rad part of the world.
To keep the spirits high, a quick run to The Irish Whiskey Museum is a must. I learned so much and the staff was on par with all the other places I visited, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Many delicious samples where had.
The next slideshow is some more stores, random town shots, lunch and a mega EPIC statue of the LEGEND that is Philip Lynott. Bassist stick together. Long live Thin Lizzy!
Wrapping up the last night in Dublin, we headed out as seen in some of the pic in the slideshow above. Strolling and semi stumbling back to my room, I noticed some commotion behind some huge doors near the lobby. The TTB and I decided to have ourselves a peek. There was a wedding going on haha. There were a few friendly people at the door that greeted both me and the TTB. Feeling welcomed, I made a straight line towards the food lol. I made myself a delish fruit bowl along with some EPIC cheese cubes. KErrygold Dubliner is the BEST cheese! Hung out for a while checking out this wedding in the city center of Dublin. Before heading to my room, I snapped this last pic in the TTB´s adventure before the track home. Wedding Crashers....check!

Before I go, you may have noticed I made reference to visiting these rad sights as “we”. I want to take a moment to thank Arron and Rex for making this trip possible. Bonus shout out to Cyndi, Mike,and Ben for being mega rad company. You peeps are hella rad!
