Display case on the cheap

Ever wanted to buy a 1:64 display case for those cars you open as a little kid and babied them? Sure you do, but when you see the cost of a 1:64 display case you rethink that.

The price is 109 not 189.95, so don't have a heart attack. It is still a lot and for that price you can buy a nice Model Art 1:18, a couple of Maistos, or 100 dollars worth of 1:64s. Now you're thinking how to display your treasures and protect them. Especially your yellow and pink Miata NA.

(track day bro!)

Well you're in luck. While collecting at a young age, I noticed at a wholesale store that a craft cabinet has sufficient dimensions to hold the average 1:64. This mode of storage was an upgrade from the box I stored my cars in. Craft cabinets usually include labels yet mine had a poor adhesive. It won't hold your K10 Chevy with mud tires perfectly in a slot, but we'll discuss that later.

You can pick up a cabinet case cheap and you're not only limited to this style. And there's plenty more if you're interested.

This can be used for your overly size monster trucks, lifted diecasts or what ever doesn't fit in the slot. Please note that some of these cabinet cases have really loose cabinets, so tape them up if you're moving. I understand that the craft cabinet doesn't have the side view of legitimate display cases, but it's a cheap way to protect and store your diecasts. Hopefully this helps your organization of your diecasts.
