Long Term Beetle Review, the Franklin Mint Edition

I was going to save this for another time but then I remembered when I received this bug. This was a present from my sister on my 19th birthday, tomorrow I turn 42.

After 23 years of ownership it’s held up well. At the time it was supposed to be the ONLY scale model Beetle that had the seal of approval from VW itself. Not sure if that was actually the case or not or if there have been more since then. It’s produced by Franklin Mint and the level of detail is superb. I don’t have any good camera so please excuse these iPad shots.
