Stepside Saturday

Still Saturday in the USA?

This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside in 1:24 was given to my son by my father this past Christmas and his 2nd birthday (yes, he was born on the 25th! Christmas was far from my mind 9 months prior).

It’s a model by Welly, has some nice details but is not a high end model. DLM is only for photos then it’s back in the box until my son can stop acting like a 1:64 scale Godzilla. I’m not up for doing a proper review so the photos will have to tell the story.

The wheels look good on the outside but the inside face is a little basic with four large ribs/spokes. Good for strength if played with I suppose?

Headlights are a bit bulbous but still look good from the right angle. Just not this angle so much...

Seats have good texture and the stick shift looks good. Dash impressed me as well, maybe I’m easily impressed?

And the underside has most of the parts you’d find in full scale. Over all for a budget model it’s pretty good.
