SIKU 911 TURBO

Here’s a 911 from SIKU of W. Germany. I think it’s 1/64. It’s 1/55, thanks Jobjoris. I’ve had this for over 20 years and picked it up at a flea market. The paint has some chips and scrapes from use with a large flake having come off the bonnet, looks like the rivet has flexed slighty and caused the paint to flake off in a crescent shape.

The casting looks pretty accurate and the glass is lightly tinted but the underside is not accurate at all. As this is intended for kids to play with the target audience probably didn’t know or care what the underside looked like. The interior looks pretty well detailed in tan/biege with the steering wheel being a separate piece molded in black, it’s a nice little detail that adds some class to the model.

There is some info regarding the specs of the full scale 911 marked on the base. Last photo shows that so I won’t type it out now. I had some shots taken on the bench but looking outside I noticed the sunset so I thought I’d give some outdoor shots a go.
