Seriously, I went to the shops for food but found the pull of the toy aisle to strong for me to resist. LaLD must be slightly increasing HW sales worldwide, at least it is in my local area. As I approached the shelf of HW I noticed it looked a bit fuller than the last few times I passed by, not that I have been looking or anything. Now it’s only recently that I’ve started the shelf rumadging thing and initially I felt shame, I now block out the perceived stares of judging strangers and concentrate on the job at hand.
There were a lot of new casts in stock, some I’ve seen here and some I’d never seen. I found about 5 or 6 that I liked. There were not many multiples so after stepping back and taking a look at myself I decided to cull it down and leave some for the kids. I found the Fast Bed Hauler and it was love at first sight, I don’t usually like the fantasy casts but this one I do. I like too think of it as more of a Hot Rod rather than a fantasy cast, that’s what I tell myself anyway. When I first saw it I hoped the tray would be moveable but after taking it from it’s card and blister pack prison I couldn’t get it to slide. I tried with increasing amounts of force to the point it made cracking sounds. I decided that if it won’t move I would have to mod the thing to move! It was then when I applied a bit of twisting action that it “fell” off, I could now see how it had been designed and it was meant to slide!! Wooohoooo! I am now a happy little trucker.
I already have the awesome RSR in blue so when I saw this black one on on gold BBS style wheels it was coming back home with me.
Now I’ve drawn a dodgy cartoony backdrop to play with perspective and test out the road surface in another way. It’s not meant to be serious (like all my stuff!) so don’t feel bad laughing at it!
