Just filling in time at work while waiting for the robot to finish it’s job. I run my own business making stuff for various clients out of plastic. Spending a lot of time waiting for machines or heating plastic gives me a few minutes of spare time throughout the (long) day, it’s during those times I relieve the boredom and visit LaLD, A LOT!
Anyway I’m not sure if anyone wants to join in but maybe CaW (Casts at Work) could be a ‘thing’? Just take some photos of your casts at work (hence the name!) and post them on LaLD using the CaW tag for all to see. Dosen’t matter how mundane or exciting your place of work may be as I’m sure others may be interested. ‘Work’ dosen’t have to be a paying job, you could be doing anything, cooking, cutting a tree down, working on your 1:1 car etc any manual labour would qualify. So get into it! If you want. Just a thought.
Here’s three work related quotes from Jerome K. Jerome, (1859-1927) he was so good they named him twice. I believe these are from his book ‘Three Men in a Boat”
“I like work: it fascinates me. I can sit and look at it for hours.” ― Jerome K. Jerome
“It is impossible to enjoy idling thoroughly unless one has plenty of work to do. There is no fun in doing nothing when you have nothing to do. Wasting time is merely an occupation then, and a most exhausting one. Idleness, like kisses, to be sweet must be stolen.” ― Jerome K. Jerome
“I can’t sit still and see another man slaving and working. I want to get up and superintend, and walk round with my hands in my pockets, and tell him what to do. It is my energetic nature. I can’t help it.” ― Jerome K. Jerome, Three Men in a Boat
Here’s some photos of some casts flirting with danger on a CNC router while it’s cutting some plastic sheet.

Familiar faces.
Thanks for checking them out.
