Land Cruiser UTE!! Update II

Today I made a tiny differential housing. I did other non diecast related stuff as well but it was mostly boring.

It’s finish is a little rough but it’s a little part and my hands are big in comparison. The thing is only 15mm or 0.590551181 inches long! (Just under 5/8”)

I made the diff housing in two parts with a slot for the axle. Once I glued the parts together the axle is captivated permenently. Any future wheel swaps will require a new housing.

Looking at it from above it’s a bit thick but from most other angles I think it gives the right illusion.

Next up, suspension. I want to do functional leaf springs so it’s going to get tricky now. Failing that I’ll go with a 4 link set up with coils, failing that it will be solid with no springs but only as a last resort.
