The hordes are on the move...

It’s Halloween soon, freaks are out and about. Watch out. This one rides a BMW R1200 GS from MBX.

Oh and I found some new casts at the local haunt. This is one of them.*

I’m not a bike guy really but my dad is into BMW bikes so I’ll pass this up the family tree eventually. After I’m done with it that is, more on that later.

This is the BMW R1200 GS from matchbox. It’s a heavy little thing and once you get a good look at it you can see it’s quite a nice cast. The diecast components are the red and (obviously) the silver parts. Only the wheels, seat and tiny windshield are plastic. For such a small piece it’s quite well detailed. Tampos are really well done, especially at the size they are and on close inspection the details in the frame and engine are pretty good. The cylinder heads, intake and exhaust are represented well. The things I don’t like so much are the wheels. The front is about the right width but flat in its cross section and the rear is also a wide flat wheel. I understand it’s that way so it can stand upright and even roll along so that’s fine. It just looks strange from certain angles but it’s a minor concern on what is a really well done kids toy. I just wish I’d picked up the white version I passed over many times earlier this year, the red just caught my eye this time. Glad it did. If you see one grab it even if you pass it on later it’s a good cast to check out closely.

I think this freak is heading toward the Tinfoil Hat stop motion studios, watch out next week as it could get freaky around here. 🙀😈💻👻🎃🔮

For those who are new here I’ll post some of my favourite stop motion clips that I’ve made since getting back into diecast collecting. They are no budget, low quality but high in cheese content and should not be taken seriously. Also they are silent movies, feel free to make your own sound effects, in fact if anyone can and wants please put a soundtrack to it do so and repost please! :)
