Veyron, the ultimate UTE!!

Finally found a Veyron 4x4 UTE!! I did have a similar cast from a different manufacturer back in the early ‘80s although I’m pretty sure it was a Lambo dude...

Yes! Bad attempt at humour I know but as you have already read it and got this far I thank you for pushing on through. That’s it for dad jokes this post.

So the Lamborghini LM002 was and is an awesome vehicle. The one I refered to just before was called the ‘Cheetah’ and I had one from Tomica. That was the prototype from 1977 that led to the LM001 which in turn led to the LM002, funny how numbers work like that. Anyway the LM002 is probably the one to have as it’s got a V12 from the Countach as its source of motivation..... A COUNTACH V12!!!! Yes sir.

The Cheetah was pretty much the equivalent of the H1 being aimed at military/mining clients originally. After failing in that market it seems the exercise wasn’t a total loss and a civilian version was eventually developed and sold from 1986 up until 1993. This is the cast featured here from MBX .

Excerpt from Wikipedia: Lamborghini built its first military vehicle, a prototype vehicle codenamed the “Cheetah”, in 1977. Lamborghini had designed the vehicle with hopes of selling it to companies in the oil exploration and production industry.[3] The original Cheetah prototype had a rear-mounted Chrysler V8 engine. The only finished prototype was never tested by the US military, only demonstrated to them by its designer, Rodney Pharis. It was later sold to Teledyne Continental Motors by MTI and is apparently still in the US. This led Lamborghini to develop the LM001, which was very similar to the Cheetah, but had an AMC V8 engine.
