I stepped into another relm today. Haven’t been in a hobby shop looking for paints and brushes etc for years. I have gone looking for RC car parts but it’s a different kind of focus in that shop. So, I’m not sure if I’m growing or regressing but either way I’m having a lot of fun with this hobby.
So far I’ve not really spent a lot on my customs, just used supplies I’ve had at hand in my workshop. Now I’m getting into customs more I’ve invested in some things that should come in handy. Individual pictures follow.
These just caught my eye and I decided to get them in case I ever finish my diarama project. They are scaled down advertising posters of old Australian companies so most readers won’t be familiar with them.
Saw this Tamiya ‘weathering master kit’ hanging up so thought I’d give it a try. There were quite a few sets of different colors. I’ve been wanting to add some extra details on some of the customs so hopefully this stuff works. Apparently there is some tool in the kit for application so I’ll see how I go with it.
Not sure if I got the right thing here. Seems to be some kind of body piercing tools? Either that or small que tips for tiny paint details. Tail lights here I come!
Speaking of tail lights as well as front blinkers etc, I picked up some Tamiya pigments for just such a thing, and a couple of very expensive brushes. (compared with house paint brushes)
Because sometimes we all could use a pair of helping hands.
Plus a bonus magnifying lens, YAY! Starting to need it nowadays. :(
Managed to get an almost yin and yang effect in the lens, peace out brothers, and or sisters!
