While Christmas shopping on the weekend I took time out to do some hunting. A new toy shop had opened so I checked it out and found some SIKU and Majorette, not a HW/MBX in the place. It was a little upmarket and had lots of wooden toys and so on in stock. Found the new 2016 MBX releases in a supermarket. I wasn’t fully aware that it was actually new stuff. I noticed that philiphilip mentioned the F Type Coupe in the recent 2015-wall-d-awards so got a couple of them just incase it was the new cast he was talking about. Turns out they are so they will be shipped over to him as soon as possible.

The MBX casts inluded the Dodge A100 from my hour-rule post earlier, Alfa 4C recolour (it’s beautiful but didn’t get it!) the New fj40 that was recently ruined by MBX. Actually did get that out of morbid curiosity. ;) More importantly though was the new ‘15 F type Coupe.

F type Coupe, Philip said I could DLM it for better pictures but I feel funny doing that.
Wall of SIKU. Some nice stuff but very pricey.
This was only about 3” long. Not a bad casting but it dosen’t specify which shuttle it is.
These mobile cranes looked great.
Was tempted to get this for the van but left it swinging.

I’m still not happy about this. I do not know why this was thought to be a good move. If it’s to save metal it surely couldn’t make much of a difference?
At least I can try some customs on this and not trash one of the good original ones I still have from earlier this year. It’s so disappointing for me to find this cast on the pegs now. I’ll probably see a lot of them if others feel like I do and leave them. Please bring back the original cast Matchbox, if you read this! End rant.
