A parcel arrived from aussie-Al the day before I left on my holiday. Unfortunately I didn't even have time to get pictures before I left. I've had I little time this evening so here they are. I got a huge surprise when I noticed a Tomica box and that excitement grew massively when I saw it was a TLV! First one ever!!! My head exploded when I saw the Skyline Van was the cast in the box!!! More on that later, there was also a beautiful 1952 Studebaker truck by M2. Another first!! But wait, there’s more. Also in this box were some other brilliant casts from both MBX and HW! I’ve now had time for some pictures of these awesome casts.
A ‘70 Chevelle wagon. It’s just a great looking cast, I think I have it in the hurst livery unless I’m mistaken.
Colours and stance are awesome!
‘83 Chevy Silverado that we all know and should love!
The MBX Bronco, Sonzilla has two of these. I was going to trade him for one but now I won’t need to.
This is a beautiful cast. Olds 442. It has a metal base and I must confess I always thought these wheels were Real Riders. I really like them and it’s my first cast that has them.
Here’s the Studebaker truck. It’s another brilliant cast. Detailed beautifully and it even has opening doors and hood, rubber tyres on nicely detailed rims and other nice quality touches.
The canvas bed cover is superbly done complete with ripples in the canvas and cear rear window!
The script is clear and legible. Head lights are separate clear plastic and chrome outer ring. There’s I small chip in the paint on the door that I’ll try and paint match repair one day, maybe.
It even has a tow hitch!
I had to take some outdoor shots with it.
Matchbox Defender with a box!!! Another first for me!!
Great cast, I love this one!
And last but certainly not least is the TLV Skyline Van. This is just spectacular to have and to hold! The details are amazing and it has suspension!!!! Rubber tyres as well! No opening features but it dosen’t need any, the execution of this cast is beyond superb! I’m feeling a strong desire to look into further TLV cast procurement but have so far managed to keep strong...
No plastic bag for TLV casts by the looks of it. It comes in a two pice custom blister that holds the precious gem nice and snug. Mmmmm.
Anyway once out of that packaging it immediately becomes apparent that this is a very special piece of art. Tail light lenses are plastic parts and fit like they are painted on. Even the extremely tiny script is able to be read in pictures, I never noticed the payload sticker below the tailgate until I edited the pictures. Simply amazing.
I think the head lights are clear plastic but I’m not completely sure?
The indicators and side markers are perfect and even the hubcaps look spot on! Brilliant!!
Tiny door lock!!!!
The vents in front of the windsceen are blacked out somehow?!!
Thanks so much aussie-Al!! Absolutely blew me away with this package. I will send yours Monday. I never got the chance earlier sorry!
