I was going to spread this over multiple posts but decided to just do one big picture dump. This is most of my diecast realted Christmas gifts Sonzilla and I were lucky enough to receive this year. I’ll mostly let the pictures speak for themselves as there is a lot to get though. SIKU casts are plentiful! Some are mine and some are for Sonzilla.
I didn’t count them but one wrapped gift included a massive amount of random HW casts. This was from my wife and children. I’m such a man-child!
UTES!!
One can never have too many PORSCHE casts.
Sonzilla must have picked these out.
A handy storage box for my customs! Awesome!
Compartments will soon be filled...
A nice desk lamp, or is it?
Flip the cover and it’s a magnifying lens! Looks a little like a toilet now...
Two lenses the main one is X3 and the smaller is X12.
A small rubber horse from SIKU used for demonstration purposes. ;)
Oh since I mentioned SIKU here’s some I purchased while on my recent holiday.
Beautiful casts, cost more than HW/MBX but the quality dosen’t disapoint.
Opening doors on this Citroën Traction Avant are a nice touch and close nicely.
I only picked this up for the caravan, the new Beetle just dosen’t go with the van at all IMHO.
The van is great. I didn’t know the door opened until it was DLM’d. On that subject it’s possible to reuse the packaging and return the cast without damage.
Happy looking stupid thing.
That teardrop!!
Not really a huge Wrangler fan but I wanted to get this for Sonzilla as he loves trailers and cars that can tow something. He’s going to love this one.
The tailgate moves and allows the horse to be free!
A LANZ Bulldog, had to get it. Because tractor, I’m going to struggle giving this one to Sonzilla...
It has a tow hitch, he has to have it!
Ok now things are stepping up. This is a 1:50 Massey-Ferguson Back hoe loader built by TEREX (thanks carcrasher88 for the correction, see comments for further info) It’s a very heavy cast with a huge diecast content. The ‘hydraulics’ all function smoothly and are capable of hold there set positions.
Even the buckets are diecast!
The rear stabilising legs function like a 1:1. With the front bucket fully lowered and the legs deployed it will raise all four wheels off the ground as the full size machine can do.
The back hoe is able to support the casts weight which if you knew how heavy this is you’d be as impressed as I am!
One leg up one down.
This is another that I’ll find hard to give up!
Just to show how they go back in the packs. So handy. It is part of the added cost but I think it’s worth it.
Not cheap. ; (
This, this is awesome! Lieber mobile crane on a low loader trailer pulled by a MAN prime mover. It’s in 1:87 but it’s size is impressive. If it was 1:64 it’d be massive!
The front of the trailer is removed to allow the crane to drive off.
Detail is great fir it’s size.
Two knobs control the boom lift and scoop raising/lowering.
The scoop is diecast and is spring loaded to keep it closed.
Not sure if it is transported this way on the 1:1 but that’s how it’s packaged.
The End.
Ok, I’m done!
Thanks for looking.
