iHWEP’s are awesome! If you haven’t done one I highly recommend you give it a go. My collection wouldn’t be anywhere near as good if not for iHWEPing. As some here know I returned to this hobby less than a year ago. Thanks to the amazing trades I’ve had with various LaLD members I’ve been extremely lucky to get hold of some absolutely beautiful casts. Some of which are not available in shops locally. This parcel contains some of these casts.
Auto World are not sold here in Australia (I believe) so getting hold of one last year from Philip in the form of a beautiful el camino UTE!! was amazing. This parcel is from shop teacher and contains three AW casts!!! Man they make nice stuff. But wait, there’s more. The parcel also contains a variety of other casts that on their own are brilliant, all together in one trade is just amazing!
Thanks sooo much Shop Teacher!! You’ve blown me away! My part of the trade will be done very soon so hopefully I can send by the end of the week.
Love the LaLD logo out and proud international style!
This was a nice sight to greet my eyes. Already an awesome selection visable.
Holy iHWEP Batman! I think there’s way more here than we talked about? Only four casts were discussed as far as I can tell from the emails? RAOK level seems high unless we discussed some of these somewhere else? Anyway I’ll go with what I recall (read) so correct me if I’m wrong.
As previously arranged all cards were trimmed of ‘fat’ to save weight for postage. As I DLM pretty much everything the cards are not important. Liberate all Diecast!! (Or not, up to you entirely) ;)
Ok, let’s get going. For now I’ve just done a couple of shots of each cast, I’ll do individual posts on them in the near future.
The awesome and tiny ‘67 Bronco. This is a great little cast. I’ve not held one before and didn’t know how small it was.
I’m not exactly sure what the cartoon is on the tampo? Sebastian from the littlest mermaid? Someone from spongebob? Either way I think paint stripper will be the sauce of choice for this lobster. Expect a custom Bronco sometime in 2016 ;)
RAOK #1: The polarising Mini Van. Great cast. I like this version more than the previous two. Looks cool with the bare metal (Zamac) and tampos.
Looks awesome!
RAOK #2: A SILVER CADDY!!! This one has eluded me for some reason. I have the Orange and the new maroon recolour (iHWEPs again!) but never found this silver one. I love it. Best colour yet IMHO.
So cool!
Transit Supervan! I only just recieved my first one of these in my secret santa from Philip so a second is awesome! I like to have at least two of a cast I like, one to keep stock and (at least) one to customise.
Brilliant cast. I have to be honest here. This DLM’d one in the picture above is the one from the SS as I’d already DLM’d it. Although I DLM everything I don’t always do it straight away if I have one out already. I like to keep them fresh for later, sometimes.
RAOK 3: The awesome Aussie Falcon coupe! 1973 was a great year and this really is a great cast that I should get more of. This is my second one with my first coming from Small Scale Sydney in my first ever iHWEP. I told you they are good things!
New wheels cometh...
RAOK 4: This one I don’t remember talking about so unless my brain is starting to fail me already I think it’s a RAOK? It’s pretty damn awesome! My 4th 100% Hot Wheels cast! It’s called ‘Mercohaulic’ but I’ve no clue what that means? Is it a Mercury lead sled? Anyway that’s not important, it’s a 100% Hot Wheels!!(did I already mention that?) This means great details and build quality usually and this is no exception.
Opening bonnet!
Ooo now things are getting even more serious, crazy I know! Auto world El Camino UTE!! I love this cast! This colour is just superb but so is the other one! I’m so lucky!
LOVE IT! UTE!!
RAOK 5: WOW!! AW with a box! I’m not sure of the structure of AW cast lines. I think these are a step above the El Camino? Hard to believe I know but these have the box, rubber tyres and opening bonnets!
Just beautiful!
Land Yachts! Not wrong, this beautiful thing seems huge (long). Detailed absolutely fittingly for a Cadillac with very fine tampo work that’s superbly executed.
So fine!
Group shot for the win!
Thanks for looking and once again thanks so much Shop Teacher!
