Another day in the life of TTB. Today being Sunday I didn’t think he’d be up to doing much even though his jet lag is finally wearing off now. As I run my own business the day of the ‘working’ week is largely irrelevant and I spent most of the day working. I figured I’d have nothing to post for TTB today but I was wrong.
First up I needed to refuel the generator and I thought TTB would like to meet another fellow countrymen, well at least in design much like Torchbug himself. (He is from China after all.) Anyway TTB liked the Deutz engine, especially the seperate heads for some reason.
Before we get to far down the track I’ve included an optional music clip for those that like some background tunes while reading. If not just don’t start it! :)
Or an optional optional clip, this is from Placebo and I don’t mind it, don’t hate me.
While there he gave the whole thing a look over.
So hot! Or cool, depends on your perspective I guess?
He tried telling me something but I didn’t catch it, was kind of muffled...
Ok, so that was this morning and I thought that would be it for the day. Later in the evening I remembered that I needed some more supplies from town and in reality some more content to post. ;)
As is usually the case when you have some guests from out of town you discover things about your home town that you never knew prior. Anyway I’ll elaborate on that when we get there. For now here’s a few of the shots we got from this evenings tour.
TTB chillin on the ‘beach’
Sometimes I worry that he thinks that Herbie is a real car. Here I was starting to worry he was going to try and float across the ‘river’ (yes, this tiny creek is known as a river!)
Thankfully he didn’t. Another pose.
Ok that’s enough of this spot.
TTB found an old tree stump and wanted to watch the sun set over the mountain range. I don’t take the time to do this usually, it’s great having this little car for a visit!
So here’s a few shots of the sun setting. Watch your retinas.
TTB photo bombed the sun!
He’s such a camera hog!
Full shot of the stump, it was a large tree once. I should try and get to the Ada tree, it’s one of the largest flowering plants (Eucalyptus tree) in the southern Hemi or something like that, it’s big ok! I’ll do some homework and get back to you.
Footy (Local AFL) ground in the background. It’s out of season for football but cricket is played during summer. If there’s any interest I’ll try and catch a cricket game before TTB heads off on the next leg of his tour.
Having a rest on a picnic table.
The vertical white posts are the goal and points posts for aussie rules football (AFL)
Aw, how cute. He’s pretending he’s a real car.
Nice try TTB.
Leafhenge?
No. It’s only been here for about a decade as it turns out so it’s about time I had a good look at it.
Cool! It’s very appropriate for the occasion. Welcome to the country TTB!
The leaves are made from 13mm (1/2") steel plate it seems. The rocks are made from stone...
A view from the other side.
Traveling Torchbug rocks!
Pretty sure I heard Kate Bush on his radio playing ‘Running up that hill’ when I took this shot.
Ditto.
The more time you send with someone the better you get to know them. Today I noticed TTB had a dashcam fitted. Here’s a couple of stills from him. He did try and go up river!
I’ll have to check his cam more often now.
I couldn’t decide which of these I liked best so here are both.
On the way home but we got side tracked again shortly.
Living burgers!! Mmm...
So many Big Macs in one place... Oh yeah, the view, look at the....hamb...hills.
Posing again. That dosen’t look very comfortable TTB!
He has great balance and weight distribution for a rear engined vehicle.
Same shot as above but it’s the big picture. Not a cloud in the sky!
Alright, time to get home and back to work. That’s the only downside to working from home but it’ll put up with it.
One of the rules to hosting TTB is to make use of his ‘motor’ as he’s fitted with a pull-back set up and post a video clip of him in action. I thought this was a good time to do one.
Panoramic panorama.
Thanks for looking, hopefully you are enjoying this leg of TTB’s world wide tour.
