Finally got around to making a bullbar for the FJ Customs I’ve been working on. Got to say I’m prety happy with the first results. I made another as soon as I finished the first one. The plan was to paint the whole thing black. I liked the look of the raw wire and black plastic of the first and did one second so I could paint it. Both are good enough to fit permanently but for now I’m just trying them on different FJ’s. Here’s a heap of pictures for your eyes.
Imitating life, plenty of early full sized FJ’s had home made Bullbars because ARB hadn’t formed yet. Most seem to disregard the upright post position and cover at least half the head light beam. I managed to copy this ‘feature’. In reality I think night driving was not hindered as all good Bullbars had at least one pair of powerful driving lights mounted. Head lights were obsolete in most cases. Yes, I’ll fit some spot lights soon. ;)
There will be side bars made as well as many other 4x4 accessories soon, winch included.
Now the front end/radiator is safe from field mice strikes when on ORAT adventures. Such a relief...
