As the title suggests the paint is still mostly wet on the final details such as lights, chrome handles etc. This custom is still a Work In Progress but it’s closer to finished than it was this time last year. :)
Anyway after looking at the roof basket I made initially I realised I’d made a mistake. I’d used the same wire that the bullbar and side bars are made from. Obviously not many 1:1 roof baskets are made from bullbar tube so I made a slightly better version with finer wire. (0.71mm) for the frame. The mesh is aluminium fly screen/mesh and the ladder is from an old HO scale CIG gas tanker from a hobby I was briefly involved in last century.
Alright I’m out of time for tonight, (spent all my time making customs!) so here’s the latest progress report. Full build post will happen soon for those interested.
Ok, there’s still more to do so expect to see some driving lights, CB antenna, winch etc as time permits.
