The Porsche Outlaw that I thought only had minor tampo damage has, in reality, a casting flaw/void that. I’m going to have to fill in with something;
so, it looks like I’m embarking on an honest to goodnes custom, and not just a wheel swap or tampo removal. .
I have to order the screws from Amazon (thank you Philipilihp for the correct info), I already have the new shoes, and a pretty good idea of what I want to do.
I’ve seen what others have done (looking at you again Philipilihp) and I’ve followed the links to real outlaw examples, so I’m psyched!
We’ll see how good of a painter of diecast I really am! Probably going to be stripping it a couple of times, or more, until I get it right.
And I, too, will be getting rid of that mold seam on the hood!
This won’t happen overnight, like some of the guys on here are famous for, but I figure by announcing it like this, I’m more or less committed to following up on it. Wish me luck!
