Fintail’s Toy Catalog post (GREAT post by the way...) reminded me that I wanted to ask a question about a Matchbox car.

<—THIS Matchbox car in particular. Why does it say PIPER on the valve covers?

Matchbox, 1972 Red Rider, Made in China (already!), says PIPER on the valve covers for some reason.
