I pre ordered this Autoart Pagani Huayra Aluminum Keychain (1/87) back in November and its finally here! I was able to get a good deal on it and couldn’t pass it up. Ever since I got to see a huayra and hold the key, I’ve wanted to have something similar to it and this is pretty close.
I wish they made it a 1/64 but 1/87 is a good size for a keychain. Even for a keychain, Autoart still delivers with their quality. From just something as simple as the packaging, its well thought out and simple. And of course the stunning shiny keychain. It is said to be constructed of 19 components (not including the keychain) to accurately model the Huayra due to the small scale. The windshield and windows are made of tiny chrome plated plastic parts and attached to the body. The aluminum body is hand polished and not coated with anything. It is done this way so that if the keychain gets scratched and scuffed (being a keychain), it can simply be buffed and polished like new again. The wheels do spin but not very freely but its not a deal breaker since its a keychain. The keychain loop can be unhooked and detached to connect to what ever you are using it for. As for all keychains, we all know that the links are very prone to open up and end up coming apart and we end up losing the keychain. I really don’t want to lose this keychain so I will either find another chain that is sturdier or solder the links close.
This is the size difference between the keychain and a hotwheels. That was my attempt on making a look alike to the huayra key. Never finished cleaning it up and polishing it. I might do an update later on if anyone is interested on seeing how the keychain holds up with normal use and seeing how it looks re polished. Overall I really love this keychain and is an awesome purchase to end the year.
