Morning Coffee - 1988 Solaire CX-4

Some more of my old cars from when I was a kid.

My Hot Wheels Turbo Trax set from 1988 is long gone, but somehow the CX-4 set exclusive car survived. I also remember clearly that early on the exclusive car got bent (stepped on likely) and wouldn’t run the Turbo Trax set at hyper speed anymore. Lucky enough I got the Ultra Hots CX-4 that year too.

Really enjoy that engine detail.

Somehow the Ultra Hots version has the CX-4 name blanked out in the casting, and the Turbo Trax exclusive car got the “SOL-AIRE™ CX 4".

Anyone know if the CX-4's before or after 1988 have the name showing a trademark “™” logo? Wondering if that was the issue.

These CX-4's scream 80's Hot Wheels track time for me. I love em.
