One of the most recent from HW... here is the Volkswagen Kafer Racer. “Kafer” is a german term for ‘beetle’...so this literally is a ‘beetle racer’, a car that’s derived heavily from the famous Volkswagen Beetle.
Even after shooting pics of it, I still find it a bit weird looking, but its growing on me. :) I just cant help but think of Porsche’s moby dick race cars.. and how similar this is to that.
This cast does have a big rear wheel... but I dont see it as having that dreaded “big rear wheel” syndrome. On this one - it kinda fits, it doesn’t look a ‘tooned’ car, because it kinda looks like that already. It has no ride height issues and a detailed interior. It does have a few tampo issues though... some of the yellow stripes being smudged, but it still looks great overall.
