Maybe this Ten has been done before, but there's still many other cars that haven't been given the 1:64 treatment. And shit-damn there's loads of them. Like the following:
10. Toyota TS040
Possible Series: Race
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Low
Hot Wheels hasn't done a Le Mans car since 2001, and so many LMP's have come and gone since then. With this year's field as stacked as a Smash Bros roster, HW is again missing out on cool opportunities to make endurance cars.
9. Nissan GT-R LM Nismo
Possible Series: Race
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Medium
It's a race car that spits fire right in the driver's face, it's front tyres are wider than the back, its rear fin is short, and it's a Nissan. It's also far cooler than the TS040 and 919, which is why it's in this spot on the list.
8. Audi Sport quattro S1 E2
Possible Series: Off-Road
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Medium to High
Apparently there's an appalling lack of Group B in Hot Wheels. This must change. The force of nature known to Jalops as the Audi Sport quattro S1 can be a good start.
7. Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2
Possible Series: Off-road
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Medium to High
Like I said in the Audi entry, HW needs MOAR Group B, but more importantly, it needs more Peugeot, and what better way to get Pug in your collection than replacing the Fast 4WD car with the legendary 205 Turbo-16.
6. Porsche Cayman GT4
Possible Series: Showroom or Workshop
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: High
People of Live and Let Diecast, meet the Cayman GT4. Just two pairs of J5 or comold away from greatness.
5. Ram Rebel
Possible Series: Off-Road or City Works
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Low
This was a toss-up between the RamRunner and this one, but then I thought of the City Works subset. And yes, I want this truck in the style of the VW Caddy.
4. Audi RS6 Avant
Possible Series: City or Showroom
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: High to Stratospheric
There's just so many things that can go right once HW does an RS6 Avant, chef among which is that at last we'll have a Euro-wagon that can fight the Datsun one.
3. Ferrari FXX K
Possible Series: Race
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Medium to High
I just can't help but think: Had Ferrari and Mattel not split (assuming that's true), the FXX K would have been made along with the vanilla LaFerrai's run. From the new headlights, the big rear wheels, HUGE diffusers out the back, and dat rear wing setup, it looks like a LaFerrari Hot Wheels Edition, but damn FXXK-ing better.
2. Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2
Possible Series: Off-Road
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Stratospheric
There are may resons why HW has to make the Delta Evo Rally car, but two things stand out the most: One, because HW's Mainline needs MOAR Martini, and second, because Hot Wheels needs MOAR Lancia Martini. I also think it's time for new rims, and the Delta's comp wheels should do the trick (no, seriously, Real Riders wouldn't do this car justice).
1. BAC Mono
Possible Series: Race or Showroom
Chance of Treasure Hunt/Super TH: Stratospheric
There's no need for the car to expound its case as the most deserving of being a Hot Wheels car. Because it just plain does.
——————————————————————————————————————————————————
There's still many more worthy cars that would make for worthy castings, and this list isn't definitive. You got a car that can best be a HW car? Drop 'em in the comments, tell which series will it fall in to, and whether or not your choice can go TH.
