Remember when I proclaimed that June 25, 2015 is the greatest Ferrari Friday ever? Well, this is the greatest Scuderia Sunday to back it up. At least, it depends on you.
To help you think about it, watch respected LEGO reviewer Sariel take a look at the new, $90 10248 Ferrari F40 LEGO Creator Expert set, featuring a hamster named after another hamster.
While he finds the model too short for its scale and the presenter wasn’t able to fit inside the car, he’s rather impressed with the way the functions are implemented, how consistently red the model is and praised the many different details of the model.
Huw from Brickset has also done his review, and it is glowing brightly, with crisp photos showing many different aspects of the set, from the engine and engine cover...

It even has a glorious shot of the extremely untidy underside.
Huw regards the F40-in-brick as “a fantastic looking model, perhaps the best sports car LEGO has produced”. He finds the build process satisfying and enjoyable, “punctuated with a lot of interesting techniques involving clips and bars to attach a number of sub-assemblies.” The lack of steering is a knock against the model, and so does the printed slope piece used for the rear pillars, but the restraint shown in the stickering and a new windshield piece are a plus.
I’m with Huw in saying this: If you like a good LEGO car, you’ll love it: you won’t find a better one. I am certain that you who has gotten this model will attest to that statement.
