[Jaguar’s World Endurance Championship campaign has resulted in winning the Triple Crown en route to the title 4 years ago, and their remarkable scoring consistency, thanks to a JCB-sourced turbodiesel V8 that’s considered the best and strongest of the diesel LMPs, has kept them in sight of Ferrari, Matra, Panoz and Mazda in the next few years. But involvement in big crashes last year and penalties bogged down the team, despite managing to be in front of Nissan, Ferrari, Panoz and Matra in all but one race—Le Mans. The XJR-22 is still the same as last year’s car, but now has a higher allocation of electric power and revised underbody aero, and with Bud Light renewing sponsorship, Jaguar is looking to reverse its chances and once again win the title.]

Pretty sure this British car is early for Thursday, but I’d rather do this a bit earlier. Above is the Jaguar XJR-22 JCB DieseLM, with a turbodiesel V8 from a backhoe and electric motors on each wheel.

I finally got around to building a LEGO car in Tiny Turbo scale, thanks in large part to Flickr user //PROTOTYP, who dropped his 2015 Le Mans cars just as I was binge-watching both Truth in 24 films and races in Sebring and Le Mans from 2009 onwards.

This is the 12th in a 16-part preview for a fictional 100th running of the endurance classic, where 48 (!!!!!!!!!) cars from 16 (!!!!!!!!!) manufacturerstackle the Circuit de La Sarthe and try to outlast each other for 24 hours.

The plan is to make all 48 cars, both individually and as a team, then pop Bluerender to get them rendered before this year’s Le Mans race. Vignettes, studio shots and on-site shots will come up by then. Oh, and did I mention that I will post instructions for all three come race day?
