Here’s the thing: I was supposed to be finding samples of the Huayra Roadster, green 991 RS, and the Ford GTE-Pro, but I found neither of the first two and the Ford I found was white, so no dice. Same with the Renault RS01 that I found, which, while a looker in blue/orange, isn’t my swing.

That said, it was still a fruitful haul, partly because I found this 991 Turbo S from Realtoy’s Fast Lane shelf. There’s an issue with the rear wheels being too far inboard but I reckon that can be easily fixed. Besides, it’s a friggin’ Turbo S. Not a lot of toy makers have it.

The bigger contributor is this Falken Toyota Baja Truck, which is actually one of the two remaining samples on the pegs. The other went to a more senoir couple, particularly the husband, who asked about the same questions as I did regarding availability of other cars.

Here’s something interesting: I bought this NSX because the Tomica Audi R8 came up on the Tomica shelf. I knew that assortments for that typically last longer than Hot Wheels’, but I had a feeling that the NSX bunch I’m seeing will be the last, so I figured I get this before it’s too late.

I have October to wait on before the AMG-GT R comes out, so I can buy both the R8 and AMG, completing my RGB collection and for once finally get the cars I’m looking for DANGIT!!!

Well that’s about it for me today. I’ll have to find a handyman to help me pull the rivet off the Porsche, and get some epoxy putty to fix the problem, but otherwise I’m quite happy.
