Thanks to lordiecasts, I now have names of new Tomica for both the basic and Premium lines for 2019. And they’re a doozy.
January starts off in a supercharged manner, with the all-new-in-1:64 C7 Corvette ZR1 forming part of a 2-car lineup for basic that comes with a Toyota food truck based on curry house CoCo Ichibanya.
Premium, meanwhile, will have a Toyota Celica 2000 GT-Four, and what might be a DevilZ-based S30 Fairlady Z. This is an intriguing development indeed.
February is equally eye-watering. Besides an Isuzu camper home (something I’m curious about), the real, actual Lamborghini Urus is hitting coming to boxes. I know, right? Tomica becomes the first diecast brand to make the production Urus in 1:64.
March, then, becomes the downtime year, with a motorcycle, van and fire car/truck forming part of the lineup. April, however, is a good set.
A new Subaru Forester and the NEW SUZUKI JIMNY GUYS will be getting in on Tomica in the summer. ALSO IT’S A FREAKIN’ JIMNY FOR REAL YES WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to be outdone is the Premium line, which will see the Nissan S13 Silvia and Lamborghini Diablo SV together. I’m not sure if it’s the K or Q type, as lordiecasts didn’t mention anything.
We don’t know anything much for May, save for a Toyota bus, but the No. 115 model, marked as hidden, could only mean two things: another Ferrari (488 Pista? 812? GTC4? Portofino? FXX-K?!) or a Porsche (918? 919? GT2RS? GT3?), or a McLaren (Senna? 600LT?), or a Lamborghini (Aventador SVJ?) or basically anything, really. We don’t know. But I am chipping at the nip trying to find out.
Finally, we close off with Tomica 4D, the new Tomica that comes with sound when you press on the model. Spearheading the new entries are the Lamborghini Huracan Performante (whoa!) and a Garmin-tuned Toyota 86.
There’s a lot to wait for Tomica next year, so in any case, prepare your wallets.
