Restoration Project - Tomica Mitsubishi Pajero Rally (Part 1)

I recently acquired from ebay this older generation Mitsubishi Pajero, sporting what I would presume is some sort of Paris-Dakar rally livery.

The seller described it as “played and ugly condition.” And it sure was!

Even in scale form, it looked like it had been rallied!

It was caked with gunk everywhere!

Fortunately, after getting rid of all that gunk, we have a car that is in reasonable condition for its age.

And the windscreen is clean once again! There is no more splatter on the hood! I had to pick at all the nooks and crannies with a toothpick to clean the gunk out.

The headlights and grille piece have yellowed with age but that’s ok.

I’m going to patch the chips with some paint soon. Stay tuned for part two.
