HAWLs, Customs, and my Display (big photo dump)

I don't post a lot so I'm gonna make up for that today. Below are some of my recent hauls, and some recent customs that I've done. Plus my current display.

First off, the flea market hawl from this past week.

The whole lot.

I love motorcycles, and even though Jesse James choppers aren't may favorite, they're still cool and were only 50 cents each!

My favorite cars are hot rods (well and pickups of course haha) A good hot rod pickup would be my dream car. The black one was a buck, the yellow I think was 50 cents.

Another one of my passions is three wheelers, these toys are getting harder to find, and were only $3 for all 4.

AMC Eagle, another one of my favorites, I would love a wagon but I've never been able to find a die cast one. These Stompers SX4's will have to do. I paid up a little for the black one at $2, and found the orange one later for 50 cents.

BTF Delorian, The General Lee, and the Mystery Machine, three of my most iconic childhood cars. I paid up a little again for the Mystery Machine ($4) because I really wanted it. I haven't been to too many flea markets but I've already learned one thing, if there is someone there selling exclusively die-cast, go to that booth last. He was a nice enough guy and seemed fairly passionate about the cars, but he had current peg cars marked up to $4, a lot was over priced. Another example, the General above was $1, he had one in only slightly better shape for $9. Always check the other booths first, that's where the good deals are.

ERTL General Lee, the one on my left was my favorite childhood car (if you can't tell haha) and I"m amazed it survived all of the throwing, smashing, and painting I did as a kid. I must have really cherished this car, and despite its condition, it's my favorite in my collection. I bought the one on the right to know what it used to be. Not the greatest condition, but good enough since I didn't want to pay up for a mint one.

Focus RS!!! I'll trade one of these for either a couple of motorcycles (but only realistic looking ones) or the new VW Caddy, I'm afraid I won't be able to find that one on the pegs.

Small WalMart Hawl

Couple of Mini's, Fiat 500 which is a really nice casting. and a Matchbox lifeguard Jeep, I'll probably add a little detail to this one, or repaint it an army green/black.

Customs.

Redline Super Van that I found which was sadly painted over.

Not the biggest fan of the color, but I wanted something super bright and obnoxious, and this is the best I had at the time, I may redo this one eventually.

Added some front detail. Grille, headlights, blinkers, and rubber bumpers.

Removed the top (still have it, painted it tan) trimmed the windows and changed the interior from purple, to Ford Maroon.

Detailed the motorcycle on the back, this was a solid piece of purple plastic when it started.

ERTL Farm Country F250, this was another childhood favorite which is why the body is a little bent up and doesn't fit the window very well. I shaved and smoothed the bumpers on this one, painted it copper, added the details, and did a wheel swap. The roll pan is a little uneven due to the base, otherwise this turned out really good.

Another childhood F250, this one has been painted at least 4 times in its life. This one I color matched the bumpers, added a lot of details, gave it a bed liner, and gave it a good restoration that it deserved after years of hard work and service.

I gave it a painted wood trailer to help it keep up the hard work. A pickup's work is never done.

Like I said above, I love three wheelers, this came out the HW Roadtrippin Dodge Rampage, it was all orange and I painted to match my '83 Honda 200x.

This wasn't much work, only silver tailights and headlights, but this matches my Daily Driver, it's always cool to have a model of your real ride, and I was super exited to find one in my rareish color.
