Tomorrow the family will be on the road to the in laws, so I was given a chance to open some of my presents, namely the GL ones. I was really psyched about this too.

First off is my long desired Shasta, which I will get the blue version as soon as it’s out.

Next up was the Ram 1500 Sport truck. The roll over cage was broken in one part but I can accept that.

No, my QA disappointment is with the Explorer, which has no hitch. This was/is a major disappointment to me, because I was looking forward to this ugly colored Explorer with a hitch, because I absolutely love the off-beat looking cars. There’s a place for a hitch, but it broke off somewhere before it was packaged. I wasn’t where I opened it, and I was super careful opening it too.

I think the next pic might explain the issue...

The left, a Ram from Series 2, the right a Dodge from Series 4. The Ram’s hitch is attached quite nicely, it’s quite sturdy. The Dodge is connected via a simple plastic tab, and worst of all, it has some play. Meaning if you repeatedly connect the trailer, it will eventually give.

I’m thinking about contacting GL about the explorer. I’m really bummed about it, and this shouldn’t happen, :/.
