Someone mentioned that the plastic bands can damage the paint if too old. So I had to open everything to double check...and some bad news.
This Shelby has the most damage. The bands want to rip off the beautiful white paint, and some blue.
The bands tore up some orange paint, but it’s slightly hidden so that’s good.
I can’t get this guy open yet, so the damage is unknown.
Thankfully the Porsches are unscathed. Which is very good, because these were the ones I really wanted pure.
Thanks all for now. The Florida heat is horrible and will easily melt weak plastic. When I lived down here, I had a lot of stuff in a storage unit. Some I had to pitch because the heat damaged it. At least I can try to save these guys.
No regrets in the purchases though! They are all true scale, so I’ll find a use for every new piece, :).
