Driver side 02 sensor on the Lexus LS430 was not made to be removed by human hands.
In the event you don’t have hands like these
You can make do with one of these nifty pliers and a really skinny slotted screwdriver. And large quantities of luck
The electrical connector was super difficult since you had to blindly try and press the release tab and yank at the same time.
Then it was on to removing the actual sensor. Which I thought was going to be the easy part. It was not. Hosed that thing a few times with PB and after many different angles of attack it finally budged.

Everything went back together fine and the test drive was a success.
Discovered a worrying amount of evidence of an oil leak while under there. Found it was coming from the driver side valve cover and sure enough every single bolt was loose. Tightened those up, but something I’ll have to keep an eye on.
