Okay, so it barely counts as a modification. But on the Jaaaaaaag, the 12V outlet and two USB ports are in the back of the inside of the center console. Stupid placement in my opinion, but whatever.
And directly under the center stack is a nice little cubby hole that perfectly holds a phone...unless you want to have the phone plugged in to charge.
So I picked up a thin Qi wireless charger, dug through the garage for some scrap ABS plastic and adhesive-backed neoprene, then got to work with my Dremel and Xacto knife.
It might not be beautiful, but it works. Now I can easily charge my personal phone or work phone any time I’m in the car without having to leave multiple cords dangling about. I’ll probably make another one in the coming days to refine the design a little bit, but I’m overall satisfied with the 15 minutes of effort i gave it.
On second thought, maybe I’ll wait until it isn’t abysmally hot outside...
