I wanted to change the engine mounts on the 320. Couldn’t fucking do it.

The problem is the steering shaft. RHD cars seem to be assembled in a way that the shaft comes directly through the space you need to pull the mount out. I had the engine cranked up as high (and probably higher) than it should go and I still couldn’t get the clearance. One of my coolant pipes started weeping and I gave up after an hour of trying to pull the damn thing out. I guess the old ones will just have to be good enough.

Any suggestions?
