My Lateral arm bushings arrived a few days early, and I tried to tackle R&R this afternoon but had to accept defeat. I’ve been using a basic threaded rod with 2 conveniently sized sockets to remove the trailing arm bushings, but nothing I had was quite the right outer diameter and inner diamter to remove these spherical bushings:
The OD is 38mm and I need something that can fit over the rubber part of that bushing, so inner diameter needs to be like 36mm.
Any advice or ideas? I’ve looked at some professional bushing removal sets in the $50-$80 range and nothing screams “This will work!” also I hate spending money.
