My older brother recently go a 2004 Volvo S60R. Turbocharged Inline 5 Cylinder, 300hp, AWD; it’s a good time. I helped him remove the stock “Premium” Hu-850 headunit and install a Sony AX5000.
Crutchfield sells all the easy-install adapter harnesses for Volvo so it was an easy install. The car has a 11 speaker system (1 in the dashboard that gets disabled without the stock HU) and it actually soudns like it now! Much fuller sound, actual bass hits. I was impressed by the difference.
Also applied Leatherique to the seats. I love this stuff, its magic on old leather, So much softer and more supple, but it is a several day process.
