A mild pang of regret

I was driving to an Alfa club tech session today when I got a mild pang or regret about the Wagovan. The last time I’d driven that particular stretch of road was, in fact, in the Civic when we first discovered the fuel starvation issue.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I was right to sell that car.

But I also really like it.

I liked the way the interior was put together.

I liked the steering.

I liked the way the seats worked.

I just hated how hard it was to find parts.

I hated the hail dents.

But most of all I hated the engine.

So... briefly... I thought that maybe I should have kept it and done an engine swap.

But I didn’t.

Because I don’t really believe in engine swaps.

The engine ran mostly fine.

And I don’t have the time, energy, or space.

Also I would never have got that money back out of it.

But... it would have been fun.

And I would have learned something.

But I sold it instead.

And here we are.
