Hey Opponauts, what do you think of the Macan? Is it a real-deal Porsche or a badge engineered hopped up CUV for people that want a “Porsche” but don’t want a Porsche.
I’ve driven a couple and they do drive nicely, especially the S and up trims. They handle well and are generally quick and comfortable. They are a bit compromised for space as a useful CUV, but as a much less expensive alternative to something like a 911 C4 I could see it. But still, does a fast smallish CUV make sense? For a lot less money you can find a lot more utility with a more plebeian badge on the hood.
