My 1:8 scale GAZ M20, Pobeda model that is. I started building it last year and received last few parts a couple of days ago.

It’s a Deagosnini diecast model kit that was sold in Russia. From what I gathered the kit was being sold in pieces at newspaper stands. There was a magazine that was sold biweekly along with a few parts of the car. If someone were to put this together in Russia it would’ve taken them almost 4 years.

My parents have relatives in Russia and one of them was kind enough to collect all the magazines along with the parts and ship them over.

This could be one of in not the only one in Canada.

The detail is quite nice. Everything opens like it would on the real car. Lights work which are activated by a switch on the dash. Pushing the brake pedal activates the brake lights. Windows roll up and down and are activated by handles on the doors. The only things that I am disappointed by are the seats which are plastic and not imitation vinyl or something similar.
