Happy Father’s Day to the man that made me who I am

I owe him this post as a thank you for making me the avid car guy that I am. I may not be able to celebrate with him today because an entire state separates us, but I can’t wait to see him again.

Over the past 21 years, he’s taught me a great deal about cars, both new and old. He’s the reason I’m so passionate about BMW, Porsche, and Ford. From sharing old stories about driving a then new ‘74 2002 Alpina to driving a 959, I love hearing them and seeing the pictures that go with them.

From taking me to every auto show and dealership to occasionally picking me up a hot wheels or matchbox on his way home from work, he’s always been adamant about sharing his biggest passion in life with his only son.

Even now at 21, he still loves going to dealerships and car shows with me to look at cars and enjoy the bonding experience that cars bring us. Hell, he escalated the toys to scale models he sees at dealerships that he knows I’d like.

I hope to spend many, many more years sharing this with my father. I couldn’t have asked for a better father and best friend.
