Changed my brake pads today

...on the rear of the Rover. I totally could have gotten another year or two out of them, right?

In all seriousness, i noticed the grinding and immediately changed the pads and the rotor, which was also toast. The pad was stuck to the rotor and was probably just slowing the car down from the screws.

On the other side, i couldn’t get the rotor to pop free of the barking brake assembly. The adjustment knurle is totally seized; I could get the rotor to wobble and come halfway off but no further. I didn’t want to force it with a puller for fear of destroying the parking brake assembly. Any thoughts, other than to find someone with bigger and badder tools?
